1. Introduction

Welcome to Barcelona Hire Car. By using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

2. Booking and Reservations

2.1 Making a Booking

All bookings must be made through our website, phone, or email. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email with your booking reference number.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

You will receive two emails:

• Initial booking received confirmation
• Booking acceptance confirmation (within 2-3 business days)

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and bank transfer through our secure Stripe payment system.

3.2 Pricing

All prices displayed on our website include VAT. There are no hidden fees. Prices are based on:

• Base rate for first 20km
• €1.95 per additional kilometer
• Different rates apply for city-to-city transfers

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Cancellation by Customer

• More than 48 hours before transfer: Full refund
• Less than 48 hours before transfer: No refund

4.2 Cancellation by Barcelona Hire Car

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel your booking. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or alternative transfer arrangement.

5. Modifications

Changes to bookings can be made up to 24 hours before the scheduled transfer, subject to availability. Contact our customer service team for modifications.

6. Service Delivery

6.1 Driver Punctuality

Our drivers will arrive at the scheduled pickup time. For airport pickups, drivers monitor flight arrivals and adjust accordingly.

6.2 Waiting Time

• Airport pickups: Driver waits in arrivals hall
• Hotel pickups: 15 minutes courtesy waiting time
• Train/cruise: 30 minutes from scheduled time

6.3 Meet & Greet

Complimentary meet and greet service available. Driver will hold a sign with your name.

7. Passenger Responsibilities

• Provide accurate pickup location and contact details
• Be ready at the scheduled pickup time
• Inform us of any special requirements (child seats, extra luggage, etc.)
• Notify us immediately of flight/train delays

8. Luggage

Standard luggage allowance is included. For excessive luggage, please inform us when booking to ensure appropriate vehicle allocation.

9. Child Seats

Child seats and booster seats are provided free of charge upon request. Please specify requirements when booking.

10. Vehicle Assignment

We reserve the right to provide a larger vehicle than booked at the same price, but never a smaller vehicle.

11. Delays and Disruptions

11.1 Flight Delays

We monitor flight arrivals. For delays over 1 hour, we may need to reschedule.

11.2 Traffic and Weather

Barcelona Hire Car is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

12. Liability

Barcelona Hire Car maintains comprehensive insurance. We are not liable for:

• Lost or damaged personal belongings left in vehicles
• Delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
• Missed flights, trains, or appointments due to traffic or weather

13. Behavior

We reserve the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated, aggressive, or abusive. No refund will be provided in such cases.

14. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and GDPR regulations.

15. Complaints

If you have any complaints, please contact us at Barcelonahirecar@gmail.com within 7 days of your transfer.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions. Changes will be posted on our website.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Spanish courts.
